The 90 Day Writing Challenge is over, sadly.  However, our writers and authors did produce significant gains in their writing journeys, greatly increasing their writing production totals, we are happy to report!

Several screenplays, multiple short stories, and countless poems were written during this time, not to mention WIPs being expanded. Several completed works were submitted for local, national, and international competitions, including the Amazon UK Storyteller Award.

What will take the place of the #90DayWritingChallenge? Let's run with something we are calling #WritingWednesays.

What is #WritingWednesays? The #WritingWednesays is a writing challenge offered by Inspire Writers Center to motivate writers to reach their personal Fall 2022 writing goals. Why should writers participate in #WritingWednesays?
  • It does not have to be on a Wednesday! Any day you choose is perfect!
  • Gives writers an excuse/reason to set aside writing time
  • You receive weekly motivation and encouragement
  • You spend more time writing than you might on your own
  • Receive encouragement to reach your writing goals
  • No Strict Requirements to participate
  • Set your own goal, either word count or time spent writing

  • The #WritingWednesays will run from Sept 1, 2022 to December 28, 2022
  • All writers are eligible, no matter your individual level of experience.

"What Inspires You?"
First Annual "INSPIRATION" Anthology
Published by Inspire Writers Center
Publish Your 1500 Word Short Story
in our First Annual IWC Prose Anthology!

Deadline: December 31, 2022.
Anthology to be published January 2023!

You've been writing, and by now something you have seen or heard with Inspire Writers Center classes, workshops, coffee breaks, or writing challenges has helped inspire you to write more words, with more enthusiasm, a greater sense of purpose, and hopefully a better result. Whether you were in our #90DayWritingChallenge, #WritingWednesday, or even NaNoWriMo, your writing pen/keyboard should be warmed up and ready to write by this time of the year.

Would you like to receive a publishing credit for what you've written? Would you like to see your work in print, perhaps for the first time? Here is your opportunity.

Some writers are inspired by the beach, some by the mountains. Others are inspired to write after hearing a certain piece of music, or after an active workout or jog. Other writers have not shared this experience. They have not found the opportunity to be inspired, don't know where to find inspiration, how to get started, how to keep going.

Take this opportunity to express yourself, re-inspire your own writing, focus on what matters to you most, be published and even inspire other writers and authors with your words.

The First Annual "Inspiration" Anthology is looking for writers who have found their writing inspiration, wherever or however that comes to you. We are inviting writers of all levels to submit their 1500 word prose piece for the "Inspiration" Anthology. There is no cost to submit your work to this anthology.

Here are the general guidelines:
1. Write an original, 1500 word prose piece about "What Inspires You" or "Where You Find Inspiration".
2. This piece must be original and not published in any other publication or book as of the time of publication of this anthology, to be published no later than January 31, 2022. You retain all rights to your material and may subsequently submit your work to other publications. All submissions will be credited to the author and will remain the author's intellectual property.
3. Your 1500 Word piece must be submitted by email to connect@inspirewriterscenter.org by the deadline of December 31, 2022.
4. Your submission document must be:
  • a Word document (*.doc or *.docx)
  • 10 point Times New Roman font
  • 1500 words maximum
  • well-edited
  • submitted by email to connect@inspirewriterscenter.org
  • virus and bot free.
What are the benefits to submitting your work to the "Inspiration Anthology"?
1. Another publishing credit to add to your writing resume.
2. The opportunity for your work to be read by others, resulting in additional exposure.
3. Participation in another event that encourages you to write and produce your best work.

Talking with writers and authors always leads to a discussion about trusted writer and author resources in the publishing process. Inspire Writers Center is introducing a trial program to provide resource information for writer and author resources until 12/31, 2022. As of that time, both providers and users of the resources will be surveyed as to their recommendations for continuation and changes. While resources provided are not guaranteed, they have been utilized by writers and authors actively participating with Inspire Writers Center as instructors, students and participants. Resources will include:

  • -Beta readers
  • -Editors
  • -Independent Publishing Options
  • -Traditional Publishing Options
  • -Manuscript development tools
  • -Title and keyword development tools
  • -Printers - For editing purposes, first drafts, etc. Referral will include latest B/W per copy cost.

These resources are not meant to be exclusive or comprehensive. They will be a part of an writers well-rounded approach to how they intend to pursue their own writing journey. Inspire Writers Center (IWC) will make every effort to vet these resources. At the same time IWC will not be responsible for final results or performance of any of these resources. Caveat emptor, let the buyer beware, still applies. It is suggested that writers establish a clear expectation, written if possible, between themselves and any provider they may work with, in any setting.

If you would like to receive a resource contact list from Inspire Writers Center, please send an email to connect@inspirewriterscenter.org and specify which of the following areas where you need assistance. Include your name, preferred contact method, deadline if any, and the service or services you may need. You may also specify ALL to indicate that you need referrals for ALL areas. We will respond with an email listing those resources we have available.

Resources are updated monthly, are evaluated frequently, and may be removed without notice if our authors are not pleased with their results.

If you are a provider of writer resources in the named areas above, please contact us by email to determine if we can add you to our list. Preferred resources will have 3 named referrals with referral contact information, and references will be checked. IWC refers the right to refuse to add a resource to this list at their own discretion. The program will be reviewed at year end.
