​Inspire Writers Center has as its mission to increase public awareness of, and participation in, literary cultural activities within the greater Melbourne, Florida area including Brevard County. As such, our participation in Literary Culture and the Arts through our Civic Involvement includes:

  • Paid Creative Writing Classes offered at Wickham Park and West Melbourne Recreation Centers
  • Free Creative Writing Classes provided at Eau Gallie Public Library, Satellite Beach Library and DeGroodt Library.
  • Annual Writers Convention, Hilton Rialto, Melbourne, FL. Since 2020, Malcom attended three times, taught classes 2022 & 2023
  • Literary Readings including the Book Bash March 2023, the Spring Literary Readers Dinner in May 2023, and the Summer LIterary Reading Dinner (July 2023)
  • Authors for Authors Book Fest at Eau Gallie Civic Center, November 2022. 
At Inspire Writers Center we believe our participation in these events offers the public an opportunity to learn and grow from our efforts, as we participate and learn together. ​
